PRESENTATION OF A BASIS FOR JUDGING THE PSYCHOLOGICAL SOUNDNESS OF PLANS FOR CRIME CONTROL FROM A PSYCHOANALYTIC POINT OF VIEW.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR CONTENDS THAT SOME OF THE MAJOR IMPLICATIONS IN PSYCHOANALYTIC PSYCHOLOGY FOR CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING AND REFORM PERTAIN TO THE UNCONSCIOUS AND URGENT PSYCHIC NEEDS OF THE LAW-ABIDING THAT THE CRIMINAL LAW AND TREATMENT OF CRIMINALS HELP TO FULFILL. HE STATES THAT THE POSSIBLE EFFECT OF PROPOSED REFORMS OF CRIMINAL LAW AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE ADMINISTRATION ON THE LAWABIDING SHOULD BE CONSIDERED TO ENSURE ACCEPTANCE AND ENFORCEMENT OF REFORMS.
