This webinar will introduce the use of Fragmento software as a tool to improve forensic anthropology practice and policy by facilitating more complete and accurate analyses of fragmentary human skeletal remains.
The software enables forensic anthropologists to quantify and reconstruct fragmentary human skeletal remains (crania, pelvis, humeri, and femora) from three-dimensional surface models generated by computed-tomography or laser scans.
Learning Objectives:
- Introduction to Fragmento software and its' effectiveness in sorting and assembling fragmentary skeletal remains and full bone reconstruction.
- Applications of Fragmento in different fields including forensic science and archeology.
- Fragmento as a valuable future tool in an integrated forensic platform.
