Building a robust crisis system of care requires collaboration between multiple systems and stakeholders. Community-based organizations can enhance existing crisis systems by providing services, support, and direct experience to people in crisis.
After a brief introduction from the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to kick off this webinar, affiliates from NAMI St. Tammany and NAMI Ohio will share their experiences partnering with justice and behavioral health systems to enhance community response to crisis. Additionally, a representative from the Mental Health & Addiction Association of Oregon will share their success with Pathway Home, a peer-delivered program providing assessment, case management, peer support services, access to housing, and job training and credential attainment both before and after release from incarceration.
