Incarcerated Parents as Engaged Parents: Maintaining Newly Incarcerated Parents' Connections in Dependency Hearings

Many parents who have an opioid or other substance use disorder (OUD or SUD) will end up incarcerated due to their use. Once incarcerated, court procedures and policies will determine the nature and future of a parent who has an OUD or SUD's relationship with their children.
