This 201-level training will help participants understand the resources and process to available to assist foreign national minors, including unaccompanied children, who have experienced human trafficking. Participants will also earn about reporting requirements under the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000, as amended.
Participants will receive an overview of the process to submit a Request for Assistance to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office on Trafficking in Persons and gain an understanding of Interim Assistance Letters, Eligibility Letters, and how to access the benefits and services provided to minors who are potential and determined victims of trafficking. Furthermore, participants will learn about common case patterns, safety planning protocols, and coordination efforts when working with foreign national minors in the community.
