School Threat Assessment

This webinar, hosted by the National District Attorneys Association, will discuss ways jurisdictions can bring stakeholders together to assess school threats and prevent school shootings. It will discuss which stakeholders to include in school safety planning, the role of the District Attorney's Office, and how to assess and respond to threats.

Learning objectives:

• Learn how to bring stakeholders together, including prosecutors, investigators, psychologists, school officials, and psychiatric emergency teams, to assess school threats.
• Learn what steps to take once a threat is received, how to understand and assess risk, what information to compile, and how to prevent a serious incident.
• Learn about the emotional and physical harm that school shootings cause and the devastating impact on students, teachers, school personnel, and their families.
