This paper provides an overview of the submission timeline, eligibility requirements, program-specific information, and application requirements for the Title V Incentive Grants for Local Delinquency Prevention Programs administered under the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP).
Abstract
In 1992, Title V of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974 established the Incentive Grants for Local Delinquency Prevention Programs, also known as the Community Prevention Grants Program. Title V focuses on reducing risks and enhancing protective factors to prevent youth at risk of becoming delinquent from entering the juvenile justice system and to intervene with first-time and nonserious offenders to keep them out of the juvenile justice system. This paper announces that the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is seeking applications for funding for this grants program. The goal of the grants program is improve the juvenile justice system by increasing the availability and types of prevention programs. Its objective is to support both State and local prevention efforts. This report provides a comprehensive overview of the Title V grant opportunity, outlining registration and application deadline dates, eligibility requirements, program-specific information, performance measures, and application guidelines and requirements.
