Abstract
"Family Roundtables Giving Survivors a Voice" profiles the goal and activities of a program conducted by the AMBER Alert Training and Technical Assistance Program of the U.S. Justice Department's Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP). Family roundtable meetings provide a venue for communication and collaboration among victims, surviving family members, and law enforcement personnel. Participants discuss lessons learned and provide information on criminal justice system services related to cases of missing children and their family members. "AMBER Alert on the Front Lines" describes the successful rescue of a 17-year-old girl based on the cooperation of persons in AMBER Alert programs in Idaho and Arizona. "Faces of the AMBER Alert Network" profiles Bonnie Feller Hagan, who has been the South Dakota AMBER Alert Coordinator since 2016. She has been involved with South Dakota's child abduction alert program since it began in March 2003. Her law enforcement career began as a patrol officer in 1985. "AMBER Alert International" covers Lithuania's launching of an AMBER Alert system and AMBER Alert activities in the European Union, South Africa, and Canada. " AMBER Alert Briefs" presents brief accounts of AMBER Alert activities in Florida, Missouri, Kansas, Virginia, South Dakota, Montana, Oklahoma, and Texas. "AMBER Alert in Indian Country" describes AMBER Alert activities in Native-American communities.
