This spring 2013 issue of The Amber Advocate contains eight articles dealing with updates and issues about the Amber Alert system. The first article, Amber Alerts in the Wireless Age, presents information on how the alert system has expanded its ability to find abducted children due to the use of wireless technology. The second article, On the Front Lines, discusses how the Kansas Amber Alert system was able to successfully find a teenager abducted at gunpoint. The third article, Profile: Jessica Davenport, covers the work of Florida's Amber Alert coordinator. The fourth article, Amber Alert Training, presents information for Amber Alert training sessions being offered in 2013. The fifth article, Amber Alert International, highlights systems being established in Mexico and Thailand. The sixth article, National Amber Alert Awareness Day, presents information on how different States remembered January 13, the day that Amber Hagerman was kidnapped and murdered and for whom the Amber Alert system was named. The seventh article, Success Stories, presents brief discussions of Amber Alert successes from around the world. The eighth article, Odds and Ends, highlights Amber Alert occurrences from around the country.
