Provides the first results from the 1995 Survey of Adults on Probation (SAP). Provides data from a nationally representative sample of official records of nearly 6,000 adults under probation supervision in 167 State and local probation offices nationwide. Includes detailed tables of persons under supervision by type and severity of offense, sex, race, Hispanic origin, and age. Provides information, by type of offender, on the type of sentence imposed, special conditions of the sentences, levels of supervision, nature and extent of required contacts, contacts within the last month, and special supervision or programs provided since entering probation.
