Abstract
The section on BJA funding contains a listing of current BJA funding opportunities with the solicitation title, description, deadline, and URL provided for each opportunity, along with a listing of BJA grant applicant education webinars, an outline of frequently asked questions, and access to current and prior year BJA grant awards for FY 2009 - FY 2018. The second section of the newsletter describes features and resources for the National Public Safety Partnership (PSP), which was established in June 2017 by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to provide an innovative framework for DOJ to improve its support of state, tribal, and local law enforcement officers and prosecutors in the investigation prosecution, and deterrence of violent crime. The newsletter's section on BJA funding webinars provides information on BJA upcoming webinars, past webinars on grant applicant education, past solicitation-specific webinars, and how to stay informed on BJA webinars. The section on the Officer Robert Wilson III Preventing Violence Against Law Enforcement Officers and Ensuring Officer Resilience and Survivability (VALOR) Initiative provides information on the purpose of the VALOR Initiative and the providers that bring training and technical assistance under this initiative. The fifth section of this newsletter provides information on the benefits, law and regulations, resources, and data of the Public Safety Officer Benefits Program (PSOB).
