This third of four appendixes of the Fingerprint Sourcebook (NCJ-249575) - which provides educational, training, and research information on fingerprint analysis for the international scientific community - lists the names and other information on persons who have served on the Scientific Working Group on Friction Ridge Analysis, Study and Technology (SWGFAST), which prepared the outline of the subjects that should be included in the Fingerprint Sourcebook.
The SWGFAST maintains an ongoing commitment to the overall needs of the friction-ridge science community. As part of this commitment, it makes recommendations that extend beyond the practicing community in support of the discipline. Its involvement in the production of the Fingerprint Sourcebook is an example of this. This appendix lists the names of those who have served on the SWGFAST for any time since its establishment in 1995. In addition to their names, the appendix shows each person's agency at the time she/he served on the SWGFAST and the specific years served on the parent body. This same information is provided for persons who have served on the SWGFAST's Standing Tenprint Committee. There are 70 listings for the parent body and 12 listings for the Standing Tenprint Committee.
