This leaflet provides information on programs that are dedicated to increasing mentoring opportunities for youth and improving the quality of mentoring that they receive.
This document informs of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) investments in mentoring programs and services, aimed at helping to ensure positive outcomes for youth. The OJJDP works with partners to boost mentor recruitment, enhance mentor-mentee matches, and increase the number of youth who have mentors. This document provides details about several programs that have received support from OJJDP, such as: national and multistate mentoring programs; Mentoring for Youth Affected by the Opioid Crisis and Drug Addiction; and National Mentoring Resource Center. The document also provides OJJDP financial support numbers from fiscal years 2020 to 2022, and highlights a story exemplifying the benefits of receiving OJJDP mentorship aid.
