This publication is an announcement of the Bureau of Justice’s (BJA’s) FY 2024 Coordinated Tribal Assistance Solicitation.
This publication provides details about the Bureau of Justice’s (BJA’s) FY 2024 Coordinated Tribal Assistance Solicitation. The solicitation invites federally recognized Native American tribal governments; consortia consisting of two or more federally recognized Indian Tribes; and tribal designees eligible for certain activities related to Purpose Area #6 to apply. This solicitation combines seven of the Department of Justice’s tribal government-specific competitive solicitations into one, requiring only one application. Successful applicants receive funding from BJA to engage in three purpose areas (PAs): justice system strategic planning; developing and enhancing adult tribal justice systems ranging from law enforcement to courts to corrections; and renovating, expanding, replacing, or building tribal justice-related facilities. BJA encourages federally recognized tribes that have not received BJA funding before to apply.
