Abstract
Panelist Catherine J. Cummings - Executive Director of the Financial Coalition Against Child Pornography at the International Center for Missing and Exploited Children - discusses the Coalition's work in disrupting the financial channels being used to sell child pornography online. Panelist Bjorn-Erik Ludvigsen - Police Superintendent with the National Criminal Investigation Service in Norway - discusses Norway's three-point action plan for countering the commercial distribution of child pornography on the Internet. It includes blocking child abuse material, targeting payment systems for the online purchase of child pornography, and arresting those who are making money from the sale of child pornography. Ludvigsen's presentation focuses on the blocking component of the action plan. Panelist Per-Ake Wecksell - detective inspector of the Swedish National Criminal Police - discusses Sweden's system for blocking Internet child pornography sites through a cooperative arrangement between the police and Internet service providers.
