Despite some staff turnover and other challenges, the RBCEVP mounted a comprehensive program for preventing and delivering services to reservation children exposed to violence. Coordinated by the Chippewa Cree Division of Human Services, RBCEVP has built a strong advocacy and case-management program for children exposed to violence. This is informed by a commitment to a traditional culture that reconnects youth and their families with the Chippewa Cree language, culture, and traditions that give priority to the family as the protector and nurturer of children. The RBCEVP has provided prevention programming and support services to children and youth, ensured access to specialized training for local service providers in how to treat trauma in children exposed to violence, and conducted a campaign to increase community awareness of the nature, trauma, and treatment of a child's exposure to violence. Tables, figures, and appended description of events, training, technical assistance, and sample program materials
