This resource guide provides a wide range of readily adaptable outreach tools intended to enhance and unify public awareness efforts during National Crime Victims' Rights Week. The intention of the week's theme is to rally the public to action that ensures every individual who is victimized by crime is provided compassionate and adequate support that will enable him/her to recover from the crime's impact and participate fully in the criminal justice processing of his/her case. Kick-off events and planning tips are suggested. Also included in the resource guide are guidelines for maximizing communication and awareness and publicizing landmarks in victims' rights and services. Statistical overviews and resources are included as well. Practical suggestions are offered for working with the media, and camera-ready artwork is provided on a CD-ROM. A DVD on this year's theme is provided.
