This brief by the U.S. Justice Department's Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) provides aggregate data for 90 grantees across four human trafficking grant programs, as reported in the Trafficking Information Management System (TIMS), which is a centralized repository for grant-required performance metrics and case-specific information related to all OVC human trafficking grant programs.
This report covers TIMS data for July 2016-June 2017. In assisting victims of human trafficking, OVC has three flagship grant programs: the Comprehensive Services for Victims of All Forms of Human Trafficking Program, the OVC/BJA Enhanced Collaborative Model To Combat Human Trafficking Program, and the Specialized Services for Victims of Human Trafficking Program. Key grantee activities are outlined in this brief. TIMS data for July 2016-June 2017 presented in this brief indicate that the 90 program grantees reported serving 8,003 total clients and 4,349 new clients. Of the clients served, 78 percent were adults and 22 percent were minors (under 18 years old). Of the clients served, percentages are reported for the victims of sex trafficking, victims of both sex and labor trafficking, and victims of labor trafficking. Of those victims served, percentages are reported for males, females, and transgender victims. Data are also provided on types of services provided.
