This June 2024 issue features an article on the growth of youth risk for violent victimization and homicide, based on crime trends; news of JJDPA’s 50th Anniversary initiative to transform the juvenile justice system; and a “From the Administrator’s Desk” article by Liz Ryan on successful reentry programs that connect youth to their communities after release from incarceration. The “From the Field” article describes efforts to seek justice and equity for LGBTQ2S+ youth, in recognition of Pride Month. The “Tribal Connections” feature describes efforts to implement and sustain Tribal youth healing to wellness courts.
