This document describes 31 programs, including 21 funding solicitations and 10 Technical and Training Assistance programs, that are geared toward the support of Native American tribes.
Thirty-one programs that offer grant funding, and training and technical assistance (TTA) or similar supports are described in this document. The programs center on the provision of community services that tackle a number of topics including adult treatment court, community-based violence and prevention of crime, collaborative efforts to increase public safety, substance abuse prevention and intervention programs, behavioral health programs, mental health collaboration to improve responses and outcomes for individuals with mental health disorders, community reentry support programs, and more. Some specific programs include support for Second Chance Act grantees; Justice and Mental Health Collaboration Program; Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Program; Swift Certain, and Fair (SCF) Supervision Program; Tribal Civil and Criminal Legal Assistance Program; Tribal Justice Systems Strategic Planning Program; Tribal Justice Systems Infrastructure Program; Justice Counts; National Training and Technical Assistance Center (NTTAC); Prison Rape Elimination Act Management Office (PREA); and Tribal Corrections Training and Technical Assistance Initiative.
