This report presents the findings and methodology for a study of the return on investment (ROI) of providing additional resources for addressing the problem of DUI-Drug driving and the “bottleneck” in the justice system caused by too few resources being provided for emerging drug use in society, both legal and illegal.
The study is narrated and demonstrated through user access to a YouTube video presentation. Data presented and analyzed were obtained and analyzed from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, insurance industry, and project FORESIGHT in estimating the costs of delay in processing DUI-Drug cases. The presentation shows how increased resources that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of processing DUI-Drug cases can reduce the costs associated with the increased number of injuries, deaths, property damage, and investigative resources associated with the investigation and processing of the dramatic increase in incidents of DUI-Drug cases.
