These statistics describe the population of adult corrections institutions and work release in the State of Washington during Fiscal Year 1997.
Abstract
The report describes the population of adult corrections and work release in the following categories: Average Daily Population and Rated Capacity by Month; Female Daily Population; Racial and Hispanic Origin Distribution of Resident Inmates and of Resident Female Inmates; and Distribution of Offenses, Violent Crime Convictions, Sentencing Authority, Age, and Resident Inmates by County. The Admissions to Prison category includes data on month and type of admission, type and county of conviction, age, race and sex, and sentencing authority. Releases from Prison includes data on type and month of release, race and sentencing authority. Length of Stay is presented by Category of Admission and by Offense, with separate statistic for WEC (Work Ethic Camp) Graduates, for CCI/WEC (Community Custody Inmate/Work Ethic Camp) Violators, and for DOSA (Drug Offender Sentencing Alternative) Offenders.
