Abstract
"Officers, Students, and Community Join the T.E.A.M." focuses on the features and effectiveness of Michigan's use of the T.E.A.M. School Liaison Program, which is a school-based, law-related education program taught by specially trained law enforcement officers. This is an effort to make schools and communities safer, promote responsible citizenship, and encourage positive character traits. "New Resource Center Offers Stalking Awareness and Prevention Resources" profiles a new online resource center funded by the federal Office on Violence Against Women (OVW). The goal of the resource center is to prepare law enforcement officers to identify and respond appropriately to cases that involve stalking. The Stalking Prevention, Awareness, and Resources Center (SPARC) website was launched on November 28, 2018. It includes resource documents and a link to information on law enforcement-specific training in identifying and managing stalking cases. It provides ready-to-teach modules that organizations can download and use in their training. "Beagle Will Sniff Out Email Fraud" describes the features and purposes of "Beagle," an open-source software tool that can help law enforcement personnel in email investigations. Beagle is a user-friendly interface that assists investigators and others in quickly searching large numbers of emails to find commonalities, including keywords and content patterns, as well as less commonly used factors such as sent-time and the physical locations of email recipients.
