In this article it will be argued that not only should the prohibitionist approach toward drug problems be abolished but also that it should be seriously considered whether there is a need for any separate drug policy as such.
Abstract
In order to achieve the abolition of drug policy, it is important to develop strategic alternatives for the short term. These alternatives should be aimed at lessening the adverse effects of current drug policy in specific localities in the world without, however, further legitimizing the current system of drug control. 9 notes and 42 references (Author abstract)
