Abstract
Activities conducted in 2005 by institutes comprising the United Nations Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Programme network are presented. The institutes consist of the Asia and Far East Institute for the Prevention of Crime and Treatment of Offenders, the Latin American Institute for the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders, the European Institute for Crime Prevention and Control, the African Institute for the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders, the International Centre for Criminal Law Reform and Criminal Justice Policy, the Australian Institute of Criminology, the International Institute of Higher Studies in Criminal Sciences, the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, the National Institute of Justice of the U.S. Department of Justice, the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, the International Centre for the Prevention of Crime, the Institute for Security Studies, and the Korean Institute of Criminology. In addition, activities conducted in 2005 from the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute are presented, as well as the activities of the International Scientific and Professional Advisory Council.
