REVIEW OF MAJOR SOCIOLOGICAL THEORIES OF MALADJUSTMENT AND DEVIANCE AS APPLIED TO DELINQUENCY RESEARCH AND A COMPARISON OF THE DELINQUENCY PREVENTION SYSTEMS IN FRANCE, GREAT BRITAIN, SWEDEN, CANADA, AND BELGIUM.
Abstract
IN LIGHT OF THE THEORIES REVIEWED, A NEW THEORY OF THE CAUSE OF CONTEMPORARY JUVENILE DELINQUENCY IS PROPOSED BASED ON THE CONCEPT OF SOCIAL CHANGE. THE COMPARISON OF DELINQUENCY PREVENTION SYSTEMS FOCUSES ON THE SOCIAL AND INSTITUTIONAL REACTION TO DELINQUENCY AS A CONTRIBUTING CAUSE TO FURTHER DELINQUENCY. --IN FRENCH
