The figures also pertain to abuse, neglect, dependency, and special proceedings cases reported to DHR.
Abstract
The section on juvenile court statistics discusses delinquency and CHINS offenses, case pending disposition, manner of handling the cases, and dispositions. Juvenile court cases with dispositions for 1990 are summarized in terms of offense category, referral reason, county, demographic factors, and disposition. The third section presents referral data by population. Other chapters address programs licensed by DYS, programs operated by DYS (including the diagnostic and evaluation center), the Interstate Compact on Juveniles which facilitates interstate cooperation in juvenile delinquency supervision and the return of runaways, and programs operated by DHR. 35 tables and 13 figures
