This annual report provides an overview of the activities of Alaska's Department of Public Safety during 1993.
Abstract
Program summaries are provided by Administrative Services, Troopers, Fire Prevention, Fish and Wildlife Protection, Motor Vehicles, the Public Safety Training Academy, and the Crime Lab. Also included in the report are the Missing Persons Clearinghouse Annual Report, the fiscal year 1993 Sexual Assault and Sexual Exploitation Report, and the fiscal year 1993 Drug and Alcohol Report. The report of the Missing Persons Clearinghouse first lists the services provided by the clearinghouse and then presents charts that summarize missing person statistics through December 31, 1993. The Sexual Assault and Sexual Exploitation Report presents statistics and information on the geographic location of cases, age of offenders, the resolution of cases investigated, screening dispositions, the resolution of charges, the screening and resolution of municipal charges, sentencing trends, repeat offender charges, and the work of the Division of Family and Youth Services. The Drug and Alcohol Report focuses on trends in drug and alcohol use and abuse, concerns, and new developments.
