Fifteen data tables and five graphs present statitiscal analyses of available information concerning alcohol and fatal road accidents in Canada from 1973 to 1982.

Abstract

Among the topics examined are the persistence of the alcohol-crash problem over time, characteristics of victims and crashes as a function of blood alcohol concentration, and interprovincial comparisons of the magnitude and characteristics of the alcohol crash problems. Statistics came from the Traffic Injury Research Foundation's Fatality Database. No data are included for traffic fatalities from Nova Scotia, Quebec, and Newfoundland Provinces.
