Abstract
THE FIRST FIVE ARTICLES OF THIS ANTHOLOGY FOCUS LARGELY ON CURRENT ARGUMENTS REGARDING THE SOCIOLOGY OF DEVIANCE. ISSUES IN CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR ARE THEN EXAMINED, INCLUDING CRIME SERIOUSNESS, THE RELATIONSHIP OF THE VICTIM AND THE OFFENDER, DELINQUENCY CAUSES, AND VARIOUS MANIFESTATIONS OF DELINQUENT BEHAVIOR. ASPECTS OF POLICE PROBLEMS, COURT OPERATIONS, AND CORRECTIONAL PROGRAMS AND REFORMS ARE EXAMINED AS WELL. FINALLY, PROGRAM AND POLICY ISSUES OF DIVERSION, BEHAVIOR CONTROL, AND PROGRAM IMPACTS ARE DISCUSSED.
