This book presents the viewpoint of an evangelical minister, who works with inmates on death row, on the status of capital punishment in the U.S. today.
Abstract
Following a theological discussion opposing the death penalty, the book includes some photographs of execution chambers around the country. The book also includes letters written in opposition to capital punishment by U.S. Senators and Congressmen, as well as by condemned death row inmates. The final chapter describes the author's vigil at the first execution in Washington State following reestablishment of capital punishment, as well as the first State-sponsored hanging since 1965.
