The American Judicature Society (AJS) is developing a new program to help commissioners in 34 States nominate candidates for the judiciary. It will include qualification guidelines, a resource handbook, and workshops.
Abstract
Topics covered in the annual report include the problem of disabled judges, better management of courts' resources to reduce backlog and delay, and the role of AJS as a forum for discussion of major issues confronting courts today. A financial report and list of AJS members are provided, along with a roster of corporations and foundations supporting the work of AJS in 1981-82.
