Abstract
The report describes the nature of and the request/application procedures for the institute's grant programs, direct technical assistance services, information center services, and the National Academy of Corrections' training programs. The new grants available and ongoing activities and services to be funded are presented under the institute program division that will be coordinating the efforts: jails, prisons, or community corrections. The National Academy of Corrections' schedule of courses, eligibility criteria, and an application form are included. Listed are special-issue seminars coordinated by each of the program divisions as well as generic training programs that accommodate practitioners from all areas of corrections. Also listed are curriculum packages that can be used at the agency level and Federal Bureau of Prisons' cosponsored training programs.
