Abstract
The year yielded 19 formal recommendations on behalf of inmates. The recommendations cover noncompliance with directives at regional psychiatric centers, improper disciplinary court awards, involuntary transfer safeguards, delays in the transfer of personal effects, privileged correspondence, winter footwear, visitor forms, flaws in the grievance procedure, special handling unit designation, diets on religious grounds, special handling units, final level grievance reply, claim appeals, remission appeal, visitor information, priority of outstanding charges, zero pay, delay in processing inmate claims, and retention of disciplinary court awards.
