This annual report is a statistical summary from the year 2000 of the caseloads and statistical records of the Circuit Courts of Illinois, the Appellate Court of Illinois, and the Supreme Court of Illinois.
Abstract
The first section of this statistical summary begins with a map of the Judicial Circuits of Illinois followed by a directory of the Circuit Clerks of Illinois. A graphical presentation of the five-year trends of the Circuit Courts of Illinois is offered along with a presentation of selected case categories. Following this, statistical records from the Circuit Courts of Illinois are presented. Statistics are included for civil, criminal, traffic, conservation, and ordinance cases as well as statistics concerning case filing ratios, civil caseloads by county, juvenile caseload, and age of pending cases by category. There are many other statistical graphs offered on such topics as felony dispositions and sentences by county as well as Circuit Court fees and other revenue. The five-year trends of adult and juvenile probation are included here as well. The second section offers statistical information about the Appellate Court of Illinois, including a map and a directory of the Appellate Clerks. A graphical presentation of the five-year trends of the Court are presented as well as statistical records concerning caseload, case disposition, time lapse between filing of cases and disposition of cases, and Court opinions and orders. The final section concerns caseloads and statistical records of the Supreme Court of Illinois. Five-year trends and data from the year 2000 are presented as well as eight tables on case filings and dispositions.
