Abstract
Work of the subcommittees has included meetings with representatives from a variety of criminal justice and related agencies and organizations, tours of facilities, and continued work on standards and specifications for the design of adult and juvenile correctional facilities, courts, and police facilities. Additional work has focused on the development of standards for the selection, application, and maintenance of building materials, hardware, and equipment for use in correctional facilities. Appendixes include a policy statement, a listing of committee members, and a description of the standards development project. Also appended are three papers discussing juvenile facility planning, residential security, and minimum funding requirements under the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act.
