DATA ON JUVENILES ARE ANALYZED IN THE AREAS OF BACKGROUND, BEHAVIOR PATTERNS, PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT, AND SOCIAL RELATIONSHIPS.
Abstract
THE YOUTH IN THE SAMPLE DID NOT APPEAR TO BE HARDENED CRIMINALS OR INDIVIDUALS WITHOUT POTENTIAL FOR SOCIAL SUCCESS. INTELLIGENCE AND PERSONALITY WERE IN THE NORMAL RANGE. OFFENSES DID NOT INVOLVE WEAPONS OR OTHER SERIOUS AGRESSIONS AGAINST PEOPLE. IT IS CONCLUDED THAT POVERTY AND UNSTABLE FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS HAVE APPARENTLY COMBINED TO PREVENT THE YOUTH FROM RECEIVING THE SUPPORT AND TRAINING NECESSARY FOR SUCCESS IN SOCIETY.
