Abstract
THE MOST COMMON REASONS FOR ARSON ARE IDENTIFIED AS FRAUD, REVENGE, CONCEALMENT OF CRIMES, MENTAL ABERRATIONS, RUSES, SABOTAGE OR CIVIC DISTURBANCE, AND EXTORTION. THE DISCUSSION OF EVIDENCE COLLECTION CENTERS ON LOCATING THE POINT OF ORIGIN OF THE FIRE AND DETERMINING THE METHODS THAT WERE USED TO SPREAD COMBUSTION.
