This videotape, accompanied by a handbook, is designed to supplement alcohol and other drug prevention programs in classrooms.
Abstract
Information in the videotape should help teachers expand their school curricula by incorporating arts activities centered on drug prevention themes. The videotape shows how the arts can be used to teach drug prevention, specifically how to use circle dances, role playing, stories, rap music, murals, and posters as part of drug abuse education. The accompanying handbook includes 14 detailed lesson plans that incorporate dance, drama, visual arts, music, language arts, and media arts.
