A TELEVISION SERIES IN GERMAN-SPEAKING COUNTRIES BRINGS CERTAIN UNSOLVED CRIMES TO THE PUBLIC'S NOTICE AND PUTS TO TELEVISION VIEWERS THE QUESTIONS THE POLICE ARE TRYING TO ANSWER.
Abstract
REALIZING THAT IN MANY CRIME CASES CERTAIN IMPORTANT QUESTIONS REMAIN UNANSWERED ALTHOUGH IT IS HIGHLY LIKELY THAT SOMEBODY, SOMEWHERE, CAN PROVIDE THE KEY INFORMATION NEEDED, TELEVISION STATIONS IN GERMANY, AUSTRIA, SWITZERLAND, DENMARK AND THE NETHERLANDS HAVE AIRED THESE PROGRAMS IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST. USING CRIMES OF VIOLENCE OR SERIOUS OR HABITUAL OFFENDERS, THE PROGRAMS RECONSTITUTE THE ACT BY USING ACTORS, COMMENTATORS, OR PHOTOGRAPHS.
