Abstract
The report describes the law enforcement functions of the agencies, describes their criminal justice assistance programs for States and cities, and summarizes federally supported crime reduction programs in Washington, D.C. It also details Federal efforts related to drug abuse, organized crime, juvenile delinquency, corrections, civil disorders, white collar crime, passenger and cargo security, bombs, and research. It also explains the role of the Department of Defense in assisting civil authorities in controlling civil disorders and in other aspects of crime control and reduction. Photographs and tables
