THIS DOCUMENT REVIEWS CURRENT BALTIMORE CRIMINAL JUSTICE INFORMATION SYSTEMS' OPERATIONS AND DEFINES INFORMATION REQUIREMENTS FOR AN AMALGAMATION OF VARIOUS AGENCY INFORMATION SYSTEMS.
Abstract
THESE REQUIREMENTS ALSO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE COMPATIBILITY OF THE PROPOSED SYSTEM WITH STATE AND FEDERAL CRIMINAL JUSTICE INFORMATION SYSTEMS. THIS DOCUMENT PROVIDES A DETERMINATION AND DOCUMENTATION OF THE EXISTING STRUCTURE OF THE CITY AND STATE AGENCIES' CRIMINAL JUSTICE PROCESSES; AN IDENTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION OF EXISTING CITY CRIMINAL JUSTICE INFORMATION MODULES OR SUBSYSTEMS; AND AN IDENTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION OF THE EXISTING DATA LINKAGES AND INTERFACE OF CITY AGENCIES AND FUNCTIONS WITH RELATED STATE CRIMINAL JUSTICE OPERATIONS. THE SCOPE OF THIS TECHNICAL NOTE IS STRUCTURED TO ADDRESS SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS OF ALL MAJOR CITY OF BALTIMORE AND RELATED STATE OF MARYLAND CRIMINAL JUSTICE AGENCIES AS THEY RELATE TO THE ADULT CRIMINAL JUSTICE PROCESS.
