The second section includes curricula and student exercises for searching a crime scene for evidence, locating finger prints, rolling fingerprints, completing chain of custody forms, and finding community resources for SIDS survivors. The third section consists of curricula and scenarios for conducting different types of preliminary investigations: burglary, grand theft, felonious assault, sexual assault, homicide, suicide, and child neglect/abuse. The final section suggests curricula and learning activities relating to SIDS incidents, kidnapping, robbery, unattended death, autotheft/recovery, poisoning, interviews and interrogation, and courtroom testimony. A list of information sources and the eight necessary components of a preliminary investigation are appended.
