Intended for use in training California law enforcement personnel, this document presents an outline for California law enforcement trainers and criminal justice educators who are delivering performance-based law-enforcement training on crimes against persons.
Abstract
The course outline lists and discusses the elements of each offense, summarizes the classification into felonies and misdemeanors, and provides citations to specific California laws. The curriculum covers assault, batters, assault with a deadly weapon, mayhem, inflicting corporal injury upon a spouse, stalking, robbery, carjacking, extortion, false imprisonment. It also explains child abduction, child detention, and violation of custody degrees; elder and dependent adult abuse; excusable and justifiable homicide; manslaughter; murder; and aiding, advising, or encouraging a suicide.
