This report covers the operational aspects of the Baton Rouge City Court Probation and Rehabilitation Department for the period September 1, 1970, to August 31, 1971.
Abstract
By August 31, 1971, the program had received a total of 359 referrals from the city court. The referrals fell into these categories: disturbing the peace, simple drunk, driving while under the influence, theft, indecent exposure, traffic, trespassing, gambling, carrying a concealed weapon, and others. Data are presented on active probationers, a shoplifting study, use of surplus grant funds, and the program evaluation. An evaluation found that the major program components were working efficiently. Tables are included.
