Abstract
THE SUPERVISORY MEASURES UTILIZED INCLUDED A TACHOGRAPH INSTALLED IN PATROL CARS, AUTOMATED CAR LOCATOR SYSTEMS, AND GUARD USE OF PORTABLE TAPE RECORDERS TO MAINTAIN A CONTINOUS LOG ON ACTIVITIES. (A TACHOGRAPH IS A CLOCK-DRIVEN RECORDING DEVICE THAT COUPLES TO A VEHICLE'S SPEEDOMETER DRIVE AND PLOTS VEHICLE SPEED, DISTANCE TRAVELLED, AND ENGINE OPERATION AGAINST A TWELVE-HOUR TIME BASE ON A CIRCULAR CHART).
