This bibliography covers materials on juvenile Intermediate Treatment programs in the United Kingdom between 1968 and the spring of 1977, which were collected by the Youth Social Work Unit, set up specifically to provide an information resource on this subject.
Abstract
Altogether, 366 annotated, bibliographic entries are listed. This material is presented topically, beginning with a general category, followed by public policy, which is further subdivided into law, parliamentary and government papers, and implementation of the Children and Young Persons Acts, 1969-1974, and 1975 onward. The section on theory and methods comprises general, models, and methods categories. Provision is divided into Resources and Finance, Social Services, and Youth Service and other agencies. Areas, schemes, and projects are broken down geographically by region. The final category offers materials on major conferences and periodicals. Topic lists; an author index; an area, project, and agency index; a source index; and a listing of local authorities by planning region are given. Ordering information is also provided.
