Abstract
It also includes some references to administrative law and materials that focus primarily on criminology and penology as well as criminal procedure. Discussions of foreign law are included where they occur in some cases as well. An introduction places criminal law in a broad perspective, while the other sections focus on specific concepts. Topics include the fundamental concepts of criminal law, the official bodies and processes involved in its implementation, the limitations of criminal law, criminal responsibility, unlawfulness, and criminal acts. Citations include textbooks, casebooks, monographs, dissertations, encyclopedic compilations, collections of essays, conference proceedings, publications of the South African Law Commission, reports of other commissions, and articles and notes from legal journals. Most of the publications are either in English or in Afrikaans. The citations include publications available up to the end of 1986.
