For each State, a table lists the names of counties and localities that have a drug court(s) that has been operating over 2 years, has been recently implemented, or is being planned. Codes indicate the type and year of an OJP (Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice) grant for each project. The table for each State also lists the total number of adult drug courts in the State that are operating and that are being planned. Also reported are the number of adult drug courts that have been suspended and consolidated that were operating or were being planned. Only 7 States do not have a drug court that has been operating over 2 years, and 48 States, as well as the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, and 1 Federal District (1 additional program suspended due to loss of probation officer) have drug courts that have been recently implemented. Two additional States are in the process of planning adult drug courts.
