Abstract
THE BLACK PANTHER PARTY PLATFORM AND PROGRAM RULES ARE PRESENTED. HUEY NEWTON, BOBBY SEALE, ELDRIDGE CLEAVER, AND SEVERAL OTHER PROMINANT PANTHERS EXPOUND UPON THE PARTY'S ROLE AS A VEHICLE FOR THE 'LIBERATION' OF BLACKS, AND UPON THE PERCEIVED ATTEMPTS BY THE 'ESTABLISHMENT' TO SURPRESS THE MOVEMENT. COMMUNITY AVCTIVITIES CONDUCTED BY THE PARTY ARE DESCRIBED. THE PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED BY PANTHERS IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM ARE EXAMINED. ALLIANCES AND COALITIONS WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS ARE DESCRIBED. APPENDIXES INCLUDE DOCUMENTS SUPPORTING ALLEGATIONS OF PERSECUTION AND A COPY OF A CALL FOR A REVOLUTIONARY PEOPLE'S CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION.
